O presente estudo objetivou identificar e analisar a produção acadêmico-científica acerca Futebol Society. Para tal, foi realizada uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica considerando publicações realizadas entre o período de 2015 e 2024, identificadas por meio do portal de Periódicos Capes, utilizando os termos “Futebol Society”, “Futebol 7” e “Futebol Sete” para identificação. A pesquisa resultou em 14 artigos condizentes com os critérios de inclusão, os quais foram publicados a partir de 2017 e abordaram diferentes temáticas atreladas ao Futebol Society, sendo as mais abordadas, “Treinamento Desportivo” (5) e “Gênero” (3). Assim, consideramos que apesar de não se limitar a aspectos técnico-táticos, as pesquisas voltadas ao Futebol Society são escassas, sendo necessário maiores investimentos acadêmico-científicos a fim de compreendê-lo sob diferentes perspectivas e em contextos diversos, incluindo sua possibilidade enquanto meio para o processo de ensino, vivência e aprendizagem de práticas similares.

Sources of Sport Satisfaction and Perceived Self-Efficacy Among Youth in a Competitive Environment

Young people’s sources of satisfaction in sport are an important indicator of their long-term sport participation. Contextual factors and an individual’s internal dispositions act synergistically to determine a positive experience. We studied sources of sport satisfaction and perceived self-efficacy of 1,151 male and female youth athletes ( M age = 14.72, SD = 1.56 years) in Brazil who were engaged in school state level competition. The participants responded to questionnaires on their sport satisfaction and perceived self-efficacy. We considered sex, training time, and last game results as independent variables in accessing participant differences in perceived satisfaction. We observed an increasing trend toward more significant satisfaction as sport experience increased. Perceived self-efficacy was a moderator for young participants’ self-reported positive experience in sports. Thus, in our offer of evidence on sources of satisfaction in sport and perceived self-efficacy among youth in competition, we found the extent of the sport experience and self-efficacy to be important factors in the developmental pathway.

The different deployments that involve youth soccer players’ development must be discussed and organized by adults, thinking about creating safe, challenging, and stimulating environments for them. Thus, our aim with this study is to investigate variables about family participation in the players’ development processes in the context of children’s competitions in Brazil. This qualitative–descriptive research was conducted in the under-10 category of the Nova Liga Gaúcha de Futebol Infantil (NOLIGAFI) through interviews with twelve coaches and in loco observations. The results showed that all coaches highlighted the importance and role of the family in the healthy development of young players. However, fact-based evidence reveals negative family participation. From this complex scenario, the coaches become fundamental figures for mediating and guiding this process, organizing proposals aimed at educating parents in the sports scenarios to promote an environment of competitive practice in football that is healthier for children.
