Discovery of intrinsic quantum anomalous Hall effect in organic Mn-DCA lattice

Abstract: Furthermore, its Curie temperature, estimated to be ~ 253 K using Monte-Carlo simulation, is comparable with room temperature and higher than most of two-dimensional ferromagnetic thin films. Our findings present a reliable material platform for the observation of QAH effect in covalent-organic frameworks.

“…4b. In line with the calculations done for DCA 3 Cu 2 and DCA 3 Mn 2 MOFs [7,9], the band structure of DCA 3 Co 2 MOF has a number of flat-bands and Dirac cones. While the antiferromagnetic structure is slightly After subtracting the reference dI/dV spectrum (green curve) recorded on G/Ir(111) surface, we extract the spectrum on Cobalt (red curve).…”

“…The search for a new member of the Dirac SGS family with the QAHE is of great importance for both fundamental interest and practical applications. Also, QSHE has been reported in previously studies 25,36 . The layered crystals of transition-metal trichloride, and the family of layered materials with the general formula TMX 3 (TM = Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Mo, Ru, Rh, Ir) and X is a halogen anion (X = Cl, Br, I) have become of interest for this purpose.…”

“…Too weak electronic correlations is an important problem in these 2DM in order to drive magnetism and to break TRS. Although, 2D Kagome lattices could potentially exhibit the QAHE, the nontrivial band gaps of these materials are too small and impede the observation of QAHE 17,25,26 .…”

“…To conrm the MFA results above, the T C of Fe (z 2 ) was further determined using Monte Carlo (MC) simulations as it has the lowest T C among the calculated T C s above RT. These simulations are used to evaluate the stability of 2D magnetic semiconducting [60][61][62] or conducting 43,63 systems.…”
