“…Climate anomalies are resulting in unstable conditions for plants’ growth since past years, which ultimately exert immense pressure on food production. The studies relating to epidemiological factors helps in management decisions by determining the conducive environmental conditions for the development of diseases such as citrus canker [ 34 , 35 ]. Hence, development and utilization of disease predictive model with relation to environmental factors is probably the most effective way to manage the prevalence of citrus canker disease.…”

“…Disease resistance in plants is closely related to their H 2 O 2 production and the activity of their defensive enzymes . SC and BT can promote increased H 2 O 2 production, increase rice defenses, promote the expression of related defensive genes, and improve the defensive ability of rice infected with Xoo . , The levels of defensive enzymes and defensive genes in plant hosts infested with bacteria represent a plant’s defense capability . Ethylicin induces resistance defense in rice by significantly accumulating H 2 O 2 and significantly promoting the activity of defensive enzymes (CAT and SOD), as well as increasing the expression of rice defensive genes ( catalase and copper/zinc SOD ) in Xoc -infected rice, and we hypothesize that ethylicin can trigger the immune system of rice and induce resistance defense in rice.…”

“…Eugenol treatment can improve fruit quality and enhance the activity of diseaseassociated enzymes during storage, thereby increasing disease resistance and prolonging the corresponding storage period. Under eugenol treatment, the resistance of tomato fruit [45] to yellow leaf curl virus could be significantly enhanced, and the expression of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase and CHI-related genes in pomegranate [46] could be significantly upregulated. The activity of disease resistance-related enzymes in passion fruit gradually decreases during the ripening process, and then the fruit gradually decays with aging.…”
