Development of puberty in adolescent boys and girls

Abstract: For adolescents, puberty can be a difficult period of their life because of important physical and psychological changes. This article is the first in a series looking at male and female puberty issues, it aims to provide an overview of the main characteristics of puberty and how these affect young people.
