The development of the tourism industry is very important for developing countries that are facing problems such as high unemployment rates, a distorted international image, limited foreign exchange resources, and a single-product economy, especially oil. Investing in this industry, which is considered a human art, is measured based on the public health of each country and will be the basis for tourists' decisions as a tourist destination. The purpose of this research is to investigate public decision-making in different temporal and spatial conditions based on psychological events. This fact is a must for the tourism industry of a society that must be managed. Then we challenge the artificial intelligence to realize that, entrusting rational decisions can replace human thinking. The methods of this study are based on NPGIS software, where decision-making methods and statistical sampling are determined together. Therefore, the study methods and a case example are presented just to know. Because it has transnational applications. The results show that: entrusting spatial decisions (space-time-place) to artificial intelligence is only possible if we consider the consequences. Finally, time and the criteria related to it show their key role. The fusion of space sciences with the tourism industry can be related to all the industrial and money-making sectors of a country. It seems easy to make an AI that works correctly once a day, but if it tries to do the same thing several times in a day, it becomes more prone to errors.

PurposeThis study aims to identify factors affecting travellers' behavioural intentions regarding beach destinations in Bangladesh. The study also examines how destination experience and satisfaction mediate the nexus between destination service factors and travellers' behavioural intentions.Design/methodology/approachA self-administered survey was carried out to gather data from 375 people who had visited the beaches in Cox's Bazar. Data were examined using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the hypotheses.FindingsThe destination experience mediates the relationship between destination service factors and complaint intention but does not mediate the relationship between destination service factors and word of mouth (WOM). Moreover, destination satisfaction mediated the relationship between destination service factors and WOM, along with complaint intention.Practical implicationsThis study's findings can be utilised by the Bangladeshi destination management to increase the number of tourists by instituting and maintaining improved destination service features in popular tourist destinations.Originality/valueThis is one of few studies on beach tourism destinations in Bangladesh that comprehensively overviews destination service factors and their influence on tourists' behavioural intentions, with a special emphasis on the mediating roles of destination experience and destination satisfaction.

Estimating the economic value of the ecotourism destination: The case of Tra Su Melaleuca Forest Natural Park in Viet Nam

In this article, the application of the Individual Travel Cost Method (ITCM) aims at providing a deeper insight into visitors? preferences and their expenses on marketed and non-marketed services when travelling to the Tra Su Melaleuca Forest Natural Park, an ecotourism destination in An Giang Province of Viet Nam. The empirical findings from the survey of 237 visitors in 2022 showed that the frequency of trips to this recreational site was 1.3 per year on average and relied strongly on the travel costs. Additionally, the estimate of tourism revenues for 2022 of this site was 82,3 billion Viet Nam Dong (VND; equivalent to 3,5 million USD). Meanwhile, its economic value calculated by the ITCM application reaches 206,2 billion VND (or 8,8 million USD). It is obvious that a greater economic value over the monetary amount of revenue also raises several ideas of managerial implications dedicated to the recreational site. It includes building a marketing team for developing recreational services and digital marketing performance, expanding tour services like transportation, lodging, local guides. Finally, enabling local people to engage in dialogues, decision-making, and interest shares is also necessary for the sustainable development of ecotourism.
