This article aims to analyze the sustainability of mangrove ecotourism using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approaches. Based on Landsat 8 OLI satellite imagery calculation using the NDVI technique, there has been a decrease in vegetation value on Dodola Island in 2017. This condition needs to be analyzed scientifically, considering the Dodola Island mangrove area to be preserved. In addition to the interests of tourism infrastructure development. The research method used is a mixed research method through a case study approach in Dodola Island, Morotai Island Regency, North Maluku Province, Indonesia. This study adopts remote sensing techniques and decision support systems to describe the results of sustainable mangrove ecotourism analysis. This study indicates that the calculation results of Landsat 8 OLI spatial data from 2013-to 2021 show a significant decrease in vegetation value in 2017, where the maximum NDVI value is 0.30, and the minimum NDVI value is 0.11. Specifically, the mangrove area also experienced a decrease in vegetation value with a maximum NDVI value is 0.23 and a minimum NDVI value is 0.02. To anticipate environmental damage in mangrove areas, this study recommends mangrove conservation programs, namely rehabilitation, restoration, reclamation, and conservation of mangrove areas. In addition, the results of the priority analysis using the AHP approach show that the rehabilitation program is a program that needs to be prioritized because it follows the existing conditions and capabilities of the Dodola Island managers.

The Law on Villages has shifted the position of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) as an element of village administration to become a village institution. As a village institution, the function and position of the BPD include the village legislature. This regulation also demands changes in organizational governance for BPD, particularly in Sepakat Village (Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency). This encourages researchers to look at and provide recommendations related to the organizational governance of BPD in Sepakat. The approach used in this service is a qualitative-based descriptive analysis. The process here focuses on four elements. In the first topic of discussion is the organizational structure of the BPD in Sepakat Village, the second is the division of the main tasks and functions of each BPD member, the third includes the standard operating procedure (SOP) for implementing activities and the fourth is the supervision of the BPD. Through data collection with in-depth interviews, it designed the analysis model with five units (checking the data got, reducing data, applying data, namely data processing, analyzing, and drawing conclusions). to get an overview of the field. Practical ideas suggest that there should be regular supervision and training of human resources for BPD of Sepakat Village

The study aims to analyze empowerment communication in a cooperative of an Islamic boarding school as a medium of harmonization. The study used a qualitative research method for Participatory Learning and Action (PLA). Data were collected through interviews, documentation, observation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Informants were selected purposively and snowball sampling, namely the organization committee and students at the Islamic Boarding School, the management of cooperatives, business groups in the community, and village government, as well as practitioners, and activists of community empowerment. The study location was determined in community and Al Muaddib Islamic boarding school at Cilacap district, Central Java Province of Indonesia. The study used data analysis of community development, namely identifying, categorizing problems, specific objectives, analyzing problems and preparing action plans, evaluating the entire process, and action plans. The results of research i.e. (1) The empowerment communication should be developed to perform a comprehensive economic empowerment program ranging from the identification of the problem, the potential of human resources, natural resources and the economy of rural communities up to the analytical solution of cooperative programs, assistance and partnerships to realize harmonization. (2) Empowerment communication should be carried out sustainably and comprehensively with a humanistic, dialogical, egalitarian and participatory approach starting from counselling to provide motivation, inspiration, knowledge, and then improving skills with training, monitoring, evaluation and partnership. (3) The study implication is that empowerment communication programs could be a medium for harmonization, eliminating traumatic and negative stigma against society and Islamic boarding school which are considered radical.
