Determination of losartan potassium in the presence of hydrochlorothiazide via a combination of magnetic solid phase extraction and fluorometry techniques in urine samples

Abstract: A sensitive and highly efficient method for the determination of losartan potassium (LOS) in the presence of hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) via a combination of magnetic solid phase extraction (MSPE) and fluorometry techniques is suggested.

“…Developing an appropriate isotherm model for adsorption is essential to the design and optimization of adsorption process. Several isotherm models such as Langmuir, Freundlich, RedlichPeterson, Dubinin-Radushkevich, Sips, and Temkin have been developed for evaluating the equilibrium adsorption of compounds from solutions [31]. In this respect, the Freundlich equations is one of the most commonly used models, and the experimental results of this study were fitted with this model.…”

“…It is an unquestionable fact that the MNPs have attracted great deal of research efforts over the past decade in technological as well as biomedical applications. These NPs have been extensively employed as magnetic storage media, ferrofluids, in analytical and bioanalytical fields, heterogeneous catalysis as well as biomedical fields including magnetic resonance imaging tools, medical diagnoses, and drug and gene delivery …”
