Preparation of magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer for dispersive solid‐phase extraction of valsartan and its determination by high‐performance liquid chromatography: Box‐Behnken design

Abstract: In this work, core/shell magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer nanoparticles were synthesized for extraction and pre‐concentration of valsartan from different samples and then it was measured with high‐performance liquid chromatography. For preparation of molecularly imprinted polymer nanoparticles, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were coated with tetraethyl orthosilicate and then functionalized with 3‐(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate. In the next step, molecularly imprinted polymer nanoparticles were synthesized un… Show more

“…Magnetic DSPE (MDSPE) is a form of DSPE in which a magnetic adsorbent is used to extract analytes. The ease of separation of the adsorbent by applying an external magnetic field from the non-magnetic matrix of the samples is the main reason behind its wide application [13,17].…”

“…Using the magnetic nanoparticles as the adsorbent, magnetic dispersive SPE (d-SPE) technology was developed to further simplify the sample preparation step [13][14][15]. Compared with the traditional SPE column, magnetic MIPs (MMIPs) could be directly dispersed into the extraction solvent to allow full contact with the target.…”

“…35 Dinali et al 36 developed a molecularly imprinted polymer for subsequent application in the extraction of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole residues in bovine milk. Kaabipour et al 37 synthesized core/shell MMIPs-NPs for extraction and pre-concentration of valsartan from water and urine samples followed by HPLC-UV.…”
