This paper presented a new algorithm for determining the distance of an object in front of a stereo camera placed on a helmet. By using a stereo camera with a Sum of Absolute Difference with a Sobel edge detector, our previous Grid-Edge-Depth map algorithm could calculate the objects’ distance up to 500 cm. The problem started when a vision disability person used the device with an unfixed stereo camera angle. The unspecified angle caused by the helmet’s movement influenced the distance calculation result. This novel process started with calculating the distance from a Grid-Edge-Depth map considering unfixed angle data of the x-axis from a gyroscope sensor placed on the stereo camera using the trigonometry formula. The angle data used was the x-axis data. The distance measurement results by the system were then computed based on the unfixed angle compared to the actual distance. The test was carried out with three scenarios which required the user to stand at a distance of 100 cm, 125 cm, and 150 cm from a table, chair, or wall, with 30 tests for each scenario. The test results showed an average accuracy of 96.05% with three experimental scenarios, which meant that this machine was feasible to implement.

Choosing the right college is a crucial step for students in preparing for their careers and future. With education at the college, the student increases their chances of getting better jobs. But because of the limited capacity of public college, students and parents must select a private college that agrees with desires and abilities. Errors in choosing a college result in students experiencing failure in carrying out education in the college. Therefore, students and parents need to consider several factors such as accreditation status, costs, the number of students, lecturers, facilities, study programs, and others to select a private college. Nevertheless, students and parents experience confusion in choosing a private college. This is due to many private colleges and the lack of information about these private colleges. Therefore, the aim of this study is to build a decision support system to select a private college that matches the desires and abilities of students and parents. This study uses Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) logic with the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to rank each alternative private college. The test results showed that the system performance meets functional requirements and the perform system achieved an accuracy of 83,33%. This decision support system helps students and parents make decisions to select a private college that according to their desires and abilities accurately.

Blindness is a term to describe conditions of people who have visual impairments. When a visually impaired do an activity outside, he usually needs a stick to help them move. This study aims to develop a stick tracking that enable a family member to find the location of the blind when they are outside their home and can help the blind to travel. GPS (Global Positioning System) technology allows the stick to get a signal for its location coordinates. When a family member wants to get the location of the blind, he can send a text message with the keyword TRACKER to the mobile phone number of the stick. A GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) module will send a reply containing the global coordinate, which Google Maps can visualize. In addition, the blind can actively send an emergency help signal to families if they have difficulty finding their way home. An emergency push button is available on the stick, which, if pressed, will send the coordinates to the family's phone number in the form of a short text message. During travelling, blind people can identify obstacles in front of them thanks to an ultrasonic sensor system on the stick. The sensor can detect an object in the range of 100 cm. If the sensor detects an object less than 100 cm, a buzzer will emit an edible sound for the blind. Observations show that the developed stick works well with an average error on the GPS module at a level of 11.89 meters. It also shows a fluctuating percentage of ultrasonic sensor errors depending on the distance of objects.
