Design of an integrated cooling system by means of thermal variation flows

Abstract: This project focuses on climate and to be more specific in high temperatures evidenced in some departments of Colombia. At present, the most widely used means of transport are motorcycles which must be supervised under a legal rule, taking into account their safety; therefore, it is necessary to use a certified helmet that fulfils the function of protecting this individual; these helmets in addition to having a definite shape and structure where it surrounds the skull completely in the part of the head also al… Show more

“…Figure 2 shows the initial prototype designed and assembled in SolidWorks, Figure 2(a) show front view, Figure 2(b) show side view, including its location on the rider's helmet, considering that a portable system is proposed, ergonomic that generates a state of comfort in the pilot when driving and economical with the use of Peltier cells [13]. The whole process was based on the application of physical study that includes the behavior of air flow temperatures as it enters the hull, in the same way the heat transfer to enable Peltier cells to carry out what was originally intended, which is to be able to reduce the air temperature at the entrance of the hull, factors such as the generation of heat on the opposite side of the cell were also taken into account so as not to affect the air-conditioning system, However, there are sufficient grounds to be able to start carrying out laboratory tests leading to the final construction of the prototype taking into account all these variables mentioned above.…”

“…The practical results showed a reduction in the temperature of the head by degrees°C . Zambrano-Becerra et al [24] presented a portable and easy-to-use cooling system by designing a helmet to cool the head. Its purpose is to reduce the temperature of the head and body in light of high temperatures.…”

“…Therefore, the decision is taken to develop techniques in an experimental way that guide us towards the development of these techniques [7][8][9]. Using the study of physical processes that allow the development of techniques to carry out a good process of recycling and use of metal materials that have not been reused so far [10,11].…”
