Design and analysis microstrip antenna with reflector to enhancement gain for wireless communication

Abstract: In this paper is presented the good solution to enhancement gain by using physical plane plate reflector with optimum distance by a reflector was used with the antenna and using a sweep parameter for the distance at which the reflector was placed at (, we found the best distance is when selected the bandwidth is 28GHz where . The gain at the bandwidth in 28GHz was improved from (5.48, 6.78, and 7.83) dB to 11.53 dB, while the gain without a reflector is 7.1 dB. The simulation results were obtained using CST wh… Show more

“…According to (2) the value of D is 1.474 cm, the tuning stub and a microstrip feedline of 50 Ω are printed on Fr4 substrate has a relative permittivity (ɛr=4.4) and loss tangent (0.0025), and a ground plane with a slot printed on the opposite side of a substrate with same dimensions of a substrate of the proposed antenna [25]. The width of the microstrip feed line is calculated 2.89 mm to achieve 50 Ω characteristic impedance by using (3):…”

“…Its widespread use is due in large part to its simplicity of production, cheap cost, consistent and reliable outcomes, and ease of accessibility [1]- [3]. The ground and patch of a microstrip patch antenna are composed of the same material [4], whereas the substrate is constructed of a separate material [5], [6]. The substrate layer is an insulating dielectric layer that separates the antenna patch from the ground [7], [8].…”

“…Operators and investigators around the world are researching different communication systems to integrate the demands of expected data rates in the various studies. Some 5G allowed tools consist of advanced system technology, multi-access radio technological innovation, mm-wave frequency, multi-inputs multi-outputs (MIMO), multiple access (MA) technologies, advanced device to device (D2D), and smaller cell skill [16]- [19]. The requirement to improve the data rate to increase the bandwidth demands and is making operators transfer towards the higher frequency bands of future 5G cellular communications [20], [21].…”
