Density Measurements under Pressure for the Binary System 1-Propanol + Toluene

Abstract: The density of the binary system composed of 1-propanol and toluene has been measured under pressure using a vibrating-tube densimeter. The measurements have been performed for four different compositions as well as the pure compounds at four temperatures in the range of (303.15 to 333.15) K and seven isobars up to 30 MPa. The uncertainty of the reported densities is less than 0.05%. The measured data has been used to study the influence of temperature, pressure, and composition on the isothermal compressibili… Show more

“…It can be seen that the majority of deviations are lower than ±0.1%, the average absolute deviation (AAD) is about 0.06% (see also Table 3). Most of the data by Zúñiga-Moreno and Galicia-Luna [53] show systematic negative deviations, although the deviations are very close [49]; ( ), [56]; ( ), [71]; (×), [58]; (⊗), [64]; ( ), [74]; (♦), [47]; (+), [65]; ( ), [73]; ( ), [61]; ( ), [70]; ( ), [62]; ( ), [33]; ( ), [72]; (♂), [76]; (♀), [32]; ( ), [75]; ( ), [35]; ( ), [36]; ( ), [21]; (--), calculated with correlation by Khasanshin [92]; (----), calculated with correlation by Marczak et al [47].…”
