This paper seeks to explain the problem of widespread consumer data theft and the significance of online consumer data privacy in a review of Islamic values-based digital ethics. This research employs a qualitative approach by reviewing a variety of books, journals, papers, and other reputable sources, which are then examined using content analytic tools. The findings of this research indicate that first and foremost, effective cybersecurity will secure customer data. Second, ethical conduct derived from Islamic beliefs will be able to deter criminal activity and data breaches against consumers. Data privacy is a fundamental right that must be maintained collectively, according to Islam. The key to combating crime and breaches in the digital environment is hence the precautionary principle of stakeholders.==========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Etika Digital Berbasis Islam: Fenomena Keamanan Data Konsumen Online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan fenomena maraknya pencurian data konsumen serta melihat posisi penting privasi data konsumen online dalam tinjauan etika digital berbasis nilai Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan menelaah berbagai literatur baik buku, jurnal, laporan dan sumber reliable lainnya yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik content analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa, pertama, keamanan siber yang baik akan mampu melindungi data konsumen. kedua, perilaku etis yang bersumber dari nilai Islam akan mampu mencegah kejahatan dan pelanggaran data konsumen. Ketiga, dalam Islam data privasi merupakan hak dasar yang harus dihormati secara bersama-sama. Untuk itu prinsip kehati-hatian daripara stakeholder menjadi kunci melawan kajahatan dan pelanggaran diruang digital.

The healthcare information system (HIS) has become a victim of cyberattacks. Traditional ways to handle cyber incidents in healthcare organizations follow a predefined incident response (IR) procedure. However, this procedure is usually reactive, missing the opportunities to foresee danger on the horizon. Cyber threat intelligence (CTI) contains information on emerging attacks and should be ideally utilized to inform the IR procedure. However, current research shows that the IR has not been effectively informed by CTI, especially in healthcare organizations. This paper fills in this gap by proposing a proactive IR response procedure based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) IR methodology. This paper then presents the NHS WannaCry case study to demonstrate the use of the proposed IR methodology. We collate cyber security advisories from different CTI sources such as US/UK CERT to protect interconnected systems and devices from Ransomware attacks. This research provides novel insights into the IR in healthcare through embedding CTI advisories into IR processes and concludes that our proposed IR procedure can be used to counteract WannaCry Ransomware using CTI advisories. It has the significance of transforming the way of IR from reactive to proactive using the CTI in healthcare.

PurposeThe present study aims to explore the relationship between manufacturing–research and development (R&D) integration and organizational culture in enhancing quality and product development performance (PDP).Design/methodology/approachBased on data collected from 931 manufacturing firms around world, the authors examine the proposed hypothesis by using regression analyses. In addition, PROCESS (SPSS macro) is used to test both the mediation and moderated mediation models in this study.FindingsThe findings reveal that quality management practices (QMPs) partially mediate the relationship between R&D-manufacturing integration and PDP. Further, it is found that the direct and indirect effects of R&D-manufacturing integration on PDP are stronger when the organization is characterized as participative rather than hierarchical.Originality/valueThis study, by investigating the combined effect of R&D-manufacturing integration and organizational culture on QMPs and PDP, provides practical insights into the ways that manufacturing firms effectively utilize the integration between R&D and manufacturing functions to improve QMPs and enhance PDP.
