The study assessed the mediating role of green organizational capabilities (green technology development, green operations, and green transactions), in the relationship between green value co‐creation and organizational resilience among Chinese manufacturing firms, that is, firms' ability to build strong organizational resilience in response to the COVID‐19 pandemic. It focused on manufacturing firms operating within Shenzhen, a coastal city located within the Guangdong province in southeastern China. The sample comprised 234 firms. Data were analysed using a covariance‐based structural equation modeling. Findings revealed that green value co‐creation had no direct effect on organizational resilience, rather, its effect was realized indirectly through green organizational capabilities. The study concludes that manufacturing companies can augment their organizational capabilities by leveraging the knowledge of their customers through green value co‐creation to build strong organizational resilience. Theoretical and managerial implications have been provided.

Indonesia is a country with abundant human resources but the number of military forces does not match with population and area. This paper aims to explain how the role of human resources as the main in the country's defense efforts to support the national economy because human resources (HR) is the most crucial resource and the element that determines the development of civilization, including the aspect of national defense. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study research approach by collecting information from journals, books, and other media to obtain topic-related materials. The result of this writing is that it can be concluded that the competence of a systematic and professional state defense management and implementation system is necessary to face threats to state defense, it is necessary to develop the strength and capabilities of state defense including the development of human resources, natural resources, artificial resources, facilities and infrastructure, technology, and defense industry as well as a value system to improve capabilities defense of the country and support the national economy.

PurposeThe purpose is to investigate the impact of the value co-creation behaviour of parents on a set of education service outcomes, including perceived school reputation, parent satisfaction and teacher competence.Design/methodology/approachAn online survey of 932 parents of primary and secondary school children was conducted. Canonical correlation analysis (general linear model) was used to test the impact of parental involvement in value co-creation behaviour on education service outcomes.FindingsValue co-creation behaviour has a positive impact on education service outcomes, but the impact differs depending on the type of behaviour. Parent citizenship behaviour positively affects satisfaction, school reputation and perceived teacher competence. However, parent participation behaviour positively affects satisfaction with the school and perceived teacher competence.Research limitations/implicationsThe study used self-reported data from parents, which may be biased and subject to errors. Future research could use more objective measures such as administrative records or teacher reports. The study's results are limited to one country, highlighting the need for further research in multiple countries.Practical implicationsThe study's findings have implications for education service providers in terms of the importance of supporting parental involvement in their child's school life via value co-creation behaviour.Originality/valueThe study contributes to the service dominant logic, value co-creation theory and educational marketing literature by providing the detailed empirical evidences of parents' value co-creation outcomes in the context of the primary and secondary schools.
