“…The characteristic peak at 1025 cm −1 corresponded with NH bending vibration and that at 1403 cm −1 corresponded with CN bending vibration peak (Abd Jelil, 2015; Sun et al, 2019; Zhao et al, 2011). The peaks at 3100–3400 and 1090 cm −1 corresponded with the OH stretching vibration and CO stretching vibration of PVA, respectively (Daelemans et al, 2018; Li, Zhang, et al, 2021), when gel and clay were combined at 3100–3400 cm −1 . The characteristic peak of the hydroxyl group at 1 and the characteristic peak of the amino group at 1025 cm −1 changed to different degrees, which may be caused by the hydrogen‐bond formation between the hydroxyl and amino groups and the clay.…”

“…The protocols were based on the previous studies. 33,34,46–49 Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus ( S. aureus ) and Gram-negative Escherichia coli ( E. coli ) were grown for 24 hours in LB medium under aerobic conditions at 37 °C. Bacterial suspensions produced by diluting overnight cultures in LB medium to a cell density of 10 6 CFU mL −1 were seeded on LB agar with a sterile swab for the antimicrobial patch assay.…”
