“…Weak perturbations in the from the available spectroscopic data (7,16,17,18) of the perturbed levels A, v ϭ 0, 5, and 10 using a modern direct fitting approach was carried out by Coxon and Foster (19). These authors have also calculated an accurate RKR potential curve for the X 2 ⌺ ϩ state and tabulated the term values and the RKR turning points for high-lying vibrational levels.…”

“…In the laboratory B 2 R + fi X 2 R + of CO + has been extensively studied for many years beginning with Jevons [5] in 1924. From this time many measurements have been made on 12 C 16 O + [6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] and other isotopic species: 13 C 16 O + [12,[15][16][17], 12 C 18 O + [18][19][20] and 13 C 18 O + [21,22]. There has been only one previous observation of the B fi X system in emission spectrum of CO + with the 17 O isotope, which natural abundance is about 0.04%.…”

“…It is worth stressing that so far it has undergone a precise analysis in most frequently occurring form of the molecule CO + . Notice that the first extensive publications since Fowler [1,2] observed most well known bands of this system in laboratory conditions, belonged to Coster [3], Schmid and Gerö [4], and Bulthuis [5], who performed the rotational analysis of selected bands and identified the state A 2 P as regular.…”

“…In 1981 and 1982, Katayama and Welsh [11,12] as well as in 1984, Brown et al [13] reinvestigated the 0-0 band, recorded by means of ion-beam laser spectroscopy technique. In 1982, Coxon and Foster [10], on the basis of wavenumbers and the results of the research performed earlier by Coster et al [3], Bulthuis [5], and Rao [6], undertook the deperturbation analysis of v = 0, 5 and 10 levels in the A 2 P i state. In 1988, Vujisić and Pe sić [14] reanalyzed rotational structure of the 4-0, 3-0, and 0-2 bands.…”
