Da'wah normatively has a positive impact on the people, because the da'wah conveyed is a manifestation of God's love and affection for mankind. In its implementation, the preaching delivered by religious figures often raises problems regarding harmony between religious communities and between religions. So it is hoped that da'wah can become a tool for developing the values of tolerance between religious communities and between religions, so that tolerance creates harmony in social life, and upholds the rights of each citizen. The approach used in this research is a qualitative method. This research shows that da'wah delivered properly and correctly in accordance with the demands of Islamic teachings can have a positive impact on life both personally, in the community, in society and in the state. This harmony is created if the values of tolerance and moderation can be developed by involving several elements including, elements of the government, elements of religious figures, systems or regulations that have been established as well as, public trust in the values of truth that are adhered to and the methods of preaching that are used. In creating harmony between religious communities and between religions, we return to the da'wah methods stated in the Al-Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad.

The importance of the role of contemporary da’wah institutions in Indonesia is a challenge for the government. This research aims to describe the role and problems of contemporary da’wah empowerment institutions in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach which originates primarily from journals and books related to contemporary da’wah institutions in Indonesia. The results of this study found that the formation of da’wah institutions in Indonesia departed from individual awareness to carry out tabligh which developed into a collective awareness to carry out da’wah within a certain system within the da’wah institution. The concept of da’wah is not only synonymous with tabligh but covers all aspects of life and tabligh is only part of Islamic da’wah. An activity can be called da’wah if it includes a system of joint efforts of believers in the context of realizing Islamic teachings in terms of socio-cultural life. The role of da’wah institutions in Indonesia can act as a motivator because basically this approach strategy is basically an effort to raise public awareness so that they can develop the existing resources of the Indonesian people, the environment and the natural surroundings to get better results. This is where the socio-religious potential of preachers and da’wah institutions can carry out their role as Indonesian non-governmental organizations, especially through religious values such as independence, justice, cooperation and so on.

Extremism is a common problem that needs to be resolved by various parties. One of the causes of extremism is the paradigm of primordialism and ethnocentrism. This paradigm holds that individuals or groups themselves are the best and tend to demean other groups. Socio-religious changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic have exacerbated the situation of a pluralistic Indonesian society. This has even permeated through the cyberspace. This article reflects on the interpretation of the verses calling for a response to the post-Covid-19 condition of Muslim urban communities. This article aims at maintaining the harmony of Indonesian society, especially urban Muslims, while at the same time reinforcing a moderate attitude after the outbreak. This study uses a qualitative research method with a content analysis approach. This article concludes that the reflection of these da'wah verses leads to the importance of digital da'wah as a means of building (post-pandemic) moderate urban Muslim communities by upholding the goals of Islam, namely rahmatan li al-‘alamin, and collective benefit. There are six ways to build a moderate, digital-based Muslim urban community: First, through media literacy and digital literacy; second, a preacher must have the courage to expose his potential; third, grounding the content of moderation on social media; fourth, forming a group of moderate-minded digital media account managers; fifth, strengthening collaboration with influencers (people who are influential in social media); sixth, courteous communication.
