“…The BSLT method cytotoxic test used Artemia salina larvae that were 48 hours old because at this time the larvae already had a high level of sensitivity due to their complete organs (Rahmi, et al, 2022). Based on its morphology, Artemia salina larvae that are 48 hours old have started to have mouths and digestive tracts but their food reserves have started to run out so they start looking for food (Fadhli & Hasanah, 2019).…”

“…Inhibitory concentration (IC50) Meyer et al, (1982) dimana suatu sampel atau bahan uji (ekstrak) dikatakan toksik apabila nilai LC50 ≤ 1000 ppm, sedangkan dikatakan tidak toksik jika nilai LC50 ≥ 1000 ppm. Menurut Rahmi et al, (2022) mekanisme sitotoksik bekerja dengan cara menghambat reseptor indra perasa sekitar mulut Artemia salina (larva udang), sehingga larva tersebut tidak menerima rangsangan dan tidak mampu mengenali asupan makanan sehingga mengakibatkan kematian pada larva udang. Efek sitotoksik yang mengakibatkan kematian larva udang yang dihasilkan suatu bahan uji pada kadar tertentu dikarenakan adanya kelompok senyawa metabolit sekunder.…”
