“…We believe that archaeology should be used as a political force in contemporary society, and we have demonstrated that archaeology can have a social impact in society and how this became urgent during the social outburst in Chile. However, as mentioned before, there several others that have made important contributions to this field in Chile (Adams, 2002; Estefane, 2013; Márquez et al, 2020a, 2020b; Prieto and Villa, 2014; Simalchik, 2006), and we firmly believe there is an urgent need for this kind of studies, which can help victims in different healing processes and to bring social justice to different parts of society.
