The background to the problems faced in society, especially the Malang area, East Java, is that several natural disasters have occurred which have resulted in victims. Therefore, education is needed from an early age in order to minimize the number of victims of natural disasters. The aim of this research is to develop a disaster mitigation book for disaster education in elementary schools. The development of learning media in the form of disaster mitigation books is very necessary so that elementary school students have readiness, both knowledge and skills related to the threat of disasters around them and can behave well when a disaster occurs. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. Activities are carried out in the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The research subjects involved were material experts and media experts for elementary school education. Data analysis uses percentage techniques and descriptions of research results. The research procedure starts from initial analysis, product design, product development, product application, and product evaluation. The research results show that the book developed received a positive response from validators. Based on the assessment of material expert validators, the product obtained results of 93.75%. Based on the assessment of media experts, the book product received a score of 98%. These results prove that the product developed can be categorized as a very valid product based on the results of expert validator assessments and can be said to be suitable for elementary school students.

This article aims to discuss public awareness in Tanjung Gusta village during the Covid-19 pandemic in complying with health protokols. Data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the community was not disciplined in implementing health protokols such as not wearing masks, not maintaining distance, and lack of facilities for washing hands in public facilities. The research activity took place from July 7, 2021 to August 04, 2021, the research was carried out in Tanjung Gusta Village, Deli Serdang Regency. The efforts made to make the public aware of the importance of following the Covid-19 prevention health protokol in Tanjung Gusta Village were carried out through socialization of maintaining health during the Covid-19 pandemic, avoiding crowds and not forgetting to wear masks. Community service activities in Tanjung Gusta Village helped increase public awareness for healthy living by wearing masks, reducing activities outside the home, avoiding touching crowds, and using hand sanitizer.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas kesadaran masyarakat di desa Tanjung Gusta pada masa pandemi Covid-19 dalam mematuhi protokol kesehatan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat tidak disiplin dalam penerapan protokol kesehatan seperti tidak memakai masker, tidak menjaga jarak, dan kurangnya fasilitas untuk mencuci tangan di fasilitas umum. Kegiatan penelitian berlangsung mulai 07 Juli 2021 sampai 04 Agustus 2021, penelitian dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Gusta, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan untuk menyadarkan masyarakat akan pentingnya mengikuti protokol kesehatan pencegahan Covid-19 di Desa Tanjung Gusta dilakukan melalui sosialisasi menjaga kesehatan dimasa pandemi Covid-19, menghindari kerumunan dan tidak lupa untuk menggunakan masker. Kegiatan KKN di Desa Tanjung Gusta membantu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk hidup sehat dengan memakai masker, mengurangi kegiatan di luar rumah, menghindari sentuhan dan kerumunan, serta menggunakan pembersih tangan.

This study is aimed to discover the negative impacts on the use of smartphone in children, their causing factors, and the means to minimalize them. This study used a qualitative research method with case study research type. The result of this study showed that the negative impacts of the use smartphone were: (1) addicted to play smartphones, (2) less discipline, (3) frequently told lies, (4) slower in understanding the lesson, and (5) influence on their behaviors. Factors that caused those negative impacts were (1) little supervision and limitation on the use of smartphones from parents, (2) the parents always obey all the students wishes, (3) addicted to online games , and (4) influence from the students’ environment. The means that can be done in order to minimize the negative impacts were (1) the teachers should give the clear schedule of online learning (2) the parents should give time limitation on the use of smartphones, and (3) the parents monitor the applications that used by the students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak negatif penggunaan smartphone pada anak, faktor penyebab timbulnya dampak negatif tersebut, serta upaya meminimalisir timbulnya dampak negatif dari penggunaan smartphone pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa dampak negatif dari penggunaan smartphone yaitu: (1) kecanduan bermain smartphone, (2) menurunnya kedisiplinan siswa, (3) siswa menjadi sering berbohong, (4) lambat dalam menerima pembelajaran, dan (5) mempengaruhi perilaku siswa. Faktor yang menyebabkan timbulnya dampak negatif tersebut yaitu: (1) kurangnya pengawasan, pendampingan, dan pembatasan penggunaan smartphone dari orangtua, (2) orangtua selalu menuruti segala keinginan siswa, (3) kecanduan game online, dan (4) pengaruh dari lingkungan bermain siswa. Upaya yang telah dilakukan untuk meminimalisir timbulnya dampak negatif yaitu: (1) guru memberikan jadwal pembelajaran daring yang jelas, (2) orangtua memberi batasan waktu dalam penggunaan smartphone, dan (3) orangtua memantau aplikasi yang digunakan oleh siswa.
