Women of childbearing age experience many obstacles in choosing contraception. One of them is due to a lack of knowledge about the safety of the method used and the husband is not allowed to solve the problem so that he does not experience pregnancy. The purpose of doing this community service is to provide information to WUS about the family planning program so that WUS have knowledge and understanding of family planning devices so that they can properly spacing pregnancies and manage the number of children they have. The target of this community service activity is women of childbearing age (WUS), totaling 35 people, carried out offline on Wednesday, August 17 2022, 09.00 to 10.00 WIB, at the RW office. This community service activity is carried out with the help of LCD media and power point, the time for giving the material is 30 minutes. To evaluate health promotion activities by providing post-test questions about the material that has been provided by the resource person. The results obtained after being given health promotion were an increase in knowledge of WUS by conducting evaluations by asking questions about the material that had been conveyed by the informants, all participants were able to answer well. Health promotion is expected not only to increase WUS knowledge but also to change behavior so that the knowledge gained can be applied in everyday life.

The most popular injection contraception in Kupang city is injection contraception. The use of injectable birth control, especially depo-medroxy progesterone acetate (DMPA) more than 4 times, will potentially increase weight. This weight gain, if not balanced with a healthy diet, will potentially increase blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of consumption patterns with an increase in blood glucose levels in DMPA injection acceptor family planning in Kupang city. This study uses a cross-sectional design. 200 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria have used DMPA injection family planning for more than 1 year and gained weight. Data collection uses a questionnaire and measurement of glucose levels uses auto-check. Data are analyzed bivariate and multivariate. The results of blood glucose level measurements showed that 32 (16%) of respondents have glucose levels above normal. The results of the analysis showed that the habit of consuming fatty foods significantly affected the increase in blood sugar of DMPA injection acceptor family planning.

Rapid population growth has become a major concern and attention of many national governments and international community. Most developing countries have acknowledged the role of family planning as an effective way to improve maternal/child health and suppress population growth. This study aimed to investigate the socioeconomic and demographic factors that influence the use of contraceptives in Indonesia. This was a cross-sectional study using secondary data derived from National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) in 2014. A sample of 286,695 married women was selected for this study. Multiple logistic regression analyses were used to estimate the effects of socio-economic and demographic variables on contraceptive use. Only 42% of married women in Indonesia used contraceptive method. The most popular contraceptive method was injection (55%). Factors affecting contraceptive use were maternal age of 30-34 year, living in the urban area, family wealth status in the 4th quintile, secondary school, working women, residing in Java/Bali, and the number of living children > 2. Family planning policy information, education, and communication program should consider these determinants of contraceptive use.
