Abstract:Snails (Lymnaea peregra) were exposed to both low and high concentrations of copper(as copper nitrate) undercontrolled conditions and then were sacrificed and dissected; various tissues/organs were removed and subsequently analyzed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry to determine both the copper concentration and the nature of localization. At low concentrations, bioaccumulation was evident in various tissues/organs; a dose response occurred in tissues derived from both the head and foot. At high concentrat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
