Sistem transportasi merupakan kombinasi beberapa bidang yang bersifat kompleks dan perlu adanya penyelarasan dengan perencanaan perkotaan dalam mendukung pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. Respon stakeholder terhadap isu mobilitas perkotaan berkelanjutan yakni melalui aplikasi sistem Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) dengan kombinasi halte, kendaraan, pelayanan, dan rute jalur moda transportasi yang menjadi satu sistem yang terintegrasi. Namun, dalam penerapan sistem BRT tetap menghadapi hambatan yang menyebabkan daya tarik masyarakat terhadap penggunaan transportasi umum berubah menuju pada penggunaan kendaraan pribadi. Dalam implementasi transportasi massal penting untuk memerhatikan konektivitas multimoda yang berkorelasi terhadap pengguna dari angkutan massal. Konektivitas mampu mempermudah mobilitas masyarakat melalui perluasan kawasan layanan angkutan umum berdasarkan asal dan tujuan perjalanan pengguna. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemudahan titik perpindahan berdasarkan pola jaringan jalan pada Transjogja. Metode yang digunakan metode kualitatif melalui analisis deskriptif dan buffer untuk mengidentifikasi atribut yang memengaruhi keterjangkauan halte serta karakteristik persimpangan yang terdapat pada kawasan halte BRT di Kota Yogyakarta. Hasil yang didapatkan berupa dominasi simpang 3 pada kawasan sekitar halte transit yang memberikan fleksibilitas perjalanan serta minimnya konflik persimpangan. Konektivitas multimoda pada halte transit mayoritas bersifat homogen atau sama secara keseluruhan dengan indikasi regresifnya penggunaan BRT.

This study examines issues related to the Trans Mamminasata Bus/Teman Bus, Indonesia, particularly in Corridors 2 and 3. Using primary and secondary data obtained from a survey, this study explores the service coverage area for three facilities (housing facilities, government and educational infrastructures) along the Corridors 2 and 3 using network analysis in Quantum GIS (QGIS). Two variables, pedestrian distance (400 meters) and cyclist distance (2000 meters), were applied in this study. The results showed that Corridor 2 served 86 infrastructures for the pedestrian distance variable and 367 infrastructures for the cyclist distance variable, while Corridor 3 served 89 infrastructures for the pedestrian distance variable and 217 infrastructures for the cyclist distance variable. The study found that the total service coverage area along Corridors 2 and 3 is wider for cyclists than for pedestrians. Moreover, this study highlights the presence of urban sprawl in the regions served by both Corridors.

Sustainable Streetscape and Built Environment Designs around BRT Stations: A Stated Choice Experiment Using 3D Visualizations

The incompatibility between the microscale-built environment designs around mass transit stations and stakeholders’ preferences causes dissatisfaction and inconvenience. The lack of a pedestrian-friendly environment, uncontrolled development patterns, traffic and parking issues make the street life vulnerable and unattractive for users, and affect the mass transit usage. How to design the streetscapes around mass transit stations to provide a user-friendly street environment is a crucial question to achieve sustainable transit-oriented development goals. To recognize the specific attributes of streetscape environment relevant in local context of BRT Lahore, this paper presents the results of a visual preference experiment in which nine attributes of built environment were systematically varied across choice sets. Multinomial logit models were set up to identify the preferences of three target groups: BRT users, commercial building users and residents at different locations. The research indicates that not only the road-related factors (bike lane and sidewalk widths, crossings facilities, street greenery) have a significant influence on people’s preference but also that building heights, and the typology of buildings and housing projects around BRT corridor have shaped these preferences. When planning and designing urban design projects around mass transit projects, these significant attributes should be considered.
