Computing Model for Vibratory Digging-Out of Sugar Beet Roots

Abstract: The new design mathematical model of the sugar beet roots vibration digging-out process with the plowshare vibration digging working part has been created. In this case the sugar beet root is simulated as a solid body , while the plowshare vibration digging working part accomplishes fl uctuations in the longitudinal - vertical plane with the given amplitude and frequency in the process of work . The aim of the current research has been to determine the dependences between the design and kinematic parameters of… Show more

“…At the Department of Mechanics of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, and the Institute of Mechanics and Automation of Agricultural Production of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, under the guidance of Prof. V.M. Bulgakov, a new design of a machine for cutting root crop tops was developed, which works like a mower and can be used to cut tops of both many root crops on the root and perennial grasses, as it is frontally attached to the aggregating tractor [1]. Several prototypes of machines for harvesting root crop tops were manufactured in industrial conditions and tested in the field, with positive results.…”

“…Since many root crops are grown using modern technologies that involve harvesting the tops of these crops on the root, the machines that will perform these operations must comply with the relevant requirements to prevent damage and loss of root crop bodies and their damage, dislodging the root crops themselves from the soil, complete harvesting of the tops and preventing their contamination with soil impurities. In addition, accurate and high-quality pruning of tops from the heads of root crops reduces the loss of their upper parts, which will significantly increase the full yield of root crops per hectare of their crops [1].…”
