“…Five distinct isozyme bands were produced and the gels were analyzed quantitatively with a Gilford gel scanner at an absorbance of 530 nm. Fritz et al (24), Dietz and Lubrano (22) and Dietz et al (23) have shown that the reduction of the colorless tétrazolium to the purple formazan is proportional to the amount of LDH activity in each band when the activity of the sample is limited to between 0.001 and 0.002 IU per gel. Tracings that resulted from the scan were there fore quantitatively related to the amount of LDH activity m each band.…”
