While much is known about citations types and functions, scarce knowledge is available about what makes citing a complicated procedure. Hence, this study explores the difficulties in citing and integrating information from academic sources into the literature review chapter of PhD proposals.

Dishonesty in the academic field like plagiarism, much happening in the academic environment. Tracing the results of writing and ideas without including references is often found in many cases, not only in scientific papers but also on lecture assignments. Along with the development of technology through smart phones and internet networks are increasingly easy to access information, making plagiarism in the academic environment is also increasing. With or unconsciously a student plagiarizing a work or idea of thought, it is the responsibility of a college institution to introduce to its students what it is plagiarism, the types of plagiarism, the consequences of plagiarism, how to avoid plagiarism and how to apply sanctions to doing plagiarism consistently. This study aims to identify students' perceptions and behavior toward plagiarism, identify plagiarism types, and analyze solutions that can be done to reduce plagiarism. Qualitative and quantitative approaches using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analysis are applied in this study. Object in this research is student of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The sample population used purposive random sampling. Based on the analysis that has been done, plagiarism kecendurangan on students is at the level of quotation theory or statement from the source, especially the internet. Most students write the theory directly with a level of similarity that is still quite high.Keywords: plagiarism, behavior, perception, college, student, ponorogo district. AbstrakKetidakjujuran dalam bidang akademik seperti plagiat, banyak terjadi di lingkungan akademisi. Menjiplak hasil tulisan dan ide tanpa mencantumkan referensi kerap ditemukan dalam banyak kasus, tidak hanya di dalam karya ilmiah tetapi juga pada tugas-tugas perkuliahan. Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi melalui telepon pintar dan juga jaringan internet yang semakin mudah untuk mengakses informasi, membuat plagiat di lingkungan akademisi juga semakin meningkat. Dengan atau tanpa sadar mahasiswa menjiplak sebuah karya atau ide pemikiran, adalah tanggung jawab sebuah institusi perguruan tinggi untuk memperkenalkan pada mahasiswanya apa itu plagiat, jenis-jenis plagiat, akibat dari perilaku plagiat, bagaimana cara-cara untuk menghindari plagiat dan bagaimana penerapan sangsi untuk yang melakukan plagiat secara konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi dan perilaku mahasiswa terhadap plagiat, mengidentifikasi tipe-tipe plagiat, dan menganalisis solusi yang bisa dilakukan untuk mengurangi perilaku plagiat.Pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen di aplikasikan dalam studi ini.Obyek dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. An Insider Threat Neutralization Mitigation Model Predicated On Cognitive Dissonance (ITNMCD)

The insider threat concern is a complex issue, as the problem domain intersects the social, technical and socio-technical dimensions. Consequently, counteracting the insider threat involves influencing the insider’s perceptions and behaviour in order to ensure compliance. When an individual’s actions and beliefs are incongruent, this induces a phenomenon known as cognitive dissonance. In order to reduce this dissonance, individuals are self-motivated either to change their behaviours or beliefs, or to rationalize their behaviour. Neutralization is a technique used by criminals to rationalize maleficence. In terms of the insider threat, it has been proposed that if the justifications for committing an offence are eliminated, then the insider is less likely to commit the offence. This process is known as neutralization mitigation. The research reported on here proposes that inducing cognitive dissonance may be a means of mitigating the neutralizations that the insider may use to justify maleficence. To integrate these concepts into a pragmatic implementable solution the Insider Threat Neutralization Mitigation model predicated on Cognitive Dissonance (ITNMCD) is proposed. A proof-of-concept was developed and the model concept was evaluated using the design science method.
