Climate Change and Aging Health in Developing Countries

Abstract: The climate of the Earth has changed throughout history. Climate change negatively impacts human rights in a wide range of ways. The study aims to find out the impact of climate change on aging health in developing countries. The study found that public health will be devastated if climate change continues unabated. Countries that are least responsible for global warming are most susceptible to the effects of higher temperatures, such as death and disease. In low‐ and middle‐income countries, disasters are mor… Show more

“…It highlights the critical role of educational attainment in shaping financial behavior, emphasizing the need for tailored educational programs to enhance financial literacy and inclusion. The research also challenges the assumption that proximity to financial institutions naturally facilitates inclusion, uncovering that factors like complex banking procedures and unreliable internet, especially in rural areas, are substantial barriers (Bellens, 2020;FIS, 2020;Sarkar et al, 2023). Additionally, trust and cultural norms emerge as significant yet less tangible obstacles to financial participation.…”

“…The physiologic, chronic disease, and social vulnerability profiles of many older adults increase their susceptibility to extreme heat events, which are rising due to climate change (Meade et al, 2020). Older people are also especially vulnerable during climate-exacerbated disasters like floods, storms, droughts, and wildfires in terms of mortality and displacement (Sarkar et al, 2023). Shifting vector ecology is already altering geographic distributions of diseases impacting older adults, including West Nile, Lyme Disease, malaria and dengue (Mojahed et al, 2022).…”

“…Numerous scholarly investigations have been conducted to analyze modifications in precipitation patterns at the global, regional, and national scales, uncovering significant variations in trends among diverse geographic regions [ 8 , 12 , 13 ]. The impacts of these modifications vary across different locations due to factors such as the density of the population, the ability to adapt, and the susceptibility of the ecological system [ [14] , [15] , [16] ].…”
