Circuit Game Development: Effects on Balance, Concentration, Muscle Endurance, and Arrow Accuracy

Abstract: Study purpose. Balance, concentration, muscle endurance, and accuracy are very important for archery athletes, but there are still limited game models to improve balance, concentration, arm muscle endurance, and accuracy in archery athletes.  The aim of this research is to develop a circuit game model to improve balance, concentration, arm muscle endurance, and accuracy in proper and effective archery athletes. Materials and methods. The development model used in this study is based on Lee & Owens theory w… Show more

“…When the athlete concentrates, he will sort through information or stimuli that do not facilitate his performance and focus only on information relevant to his victory [18]. Without good concentration, athletes can make various mistakes in their performance, such as failing to display the techniques that have been learned, inaccurate sports movements that should be done, or archery can also mean the failure of athletes to shoot targets with high points [38,39]. Nomophobia is defined not only as someone anxious because they do not bring a cell phone, but these fears and anxieties can occur due to various conditions, such as no network coverage, running out of battery, no internet network, running out of quota, and others.…”

“…In addition, the advantages of the ADDIE model can be revised at every stage. The ADDIE model is effective in developing exercise methods in sports science and physical education (Hartati et al, 2022;Yachsie et al, 2023;Dewanti et al, 2023;Fizi et al, 2023;Sepdanius et al, 2024) The first stage in ADDIE is Analysis, focusing on problems and potential through observation and interviews with athletes and coaches. The second stage is Design, focusing on the initial development of the PETTLEP Imagery training model.…”

“…Balance keeps a person's body from falling easily. Broadly speaking, balance can be interpreted as the ability to control the body's center of mass or center of gravity towards a point or plane of support, as well as the ability to stand up straight on two legs which is important in a person and as a precursor for the initiation of other activities of daily living [15].…”
