“…In a previous study, we showed that ISO 11843‐7 has been applied to repeatability assessments in gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS), high‐performance liquid chromatography with UV detection (HPLC‐UV), electrochemical detection (HPLC‐ECD), and refractive index detection (HPLC‐RI) 17–19,21–23 . It has yet to be demonstrated whether ISO 11843‐7 can be applied to assess repeatability in LC–MS/MS and determine an RSD of a peak area on an MRM chromatogram.…”

“…[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19] The Function of Mutual Information (FUMI) theory is one of the chemometric tools based on a stochastic theory. [17][18][19] The FUMI theory predicts the standard deviation (SD) of area measurements of a target peak from the stochastic behaviors of baseline noise in an instrumental analysis without repetitive measurements. The FUMI theory has been adopted into ISO 11843 part 7 (ISO 11843-7:2018, "Methodology based on stochastic properties of instrumental noise"), and the SD of area measurements obtained by the FUMI theory has been provided to determine detection limits in instrument analyses.…”
