Abstract: Chemistry of Polyfunctional Molecules, 92. Reactions of the Macrocyclic Arsa‐Aza‐Oxa‐Cryptand [N(CH2CH2)3]8(As4O4)6 with the Hexacarbonyls of Chromium, Molybdenum and Tungsten Reactions of [N(CH2CH2)3]8(As4O4)6 (1) with Cr(CO)5THF (2a) in the molar ratios of 1:1 or 1:24 yield always Cr(CO)5 „⊂”︁ [N(CH2CH2)3]8(As4O4)6 (3). All attempts to obtain homologous compounds by the reactions of Mo(CO)5THF (2b) or W(CO)5THF (2c) with 1 failed.
