Chemical Modification of ED-24 Epoxy Resin Peroxy Derivative by C9H4F16O Fluorine-Containing Alcohol-Telomer

Abstract: The possibility of chemical modification of ED-24 epoxy resin peroxy derivative (PDER) by C9H4F16O fluorine-containing alcohol-telomer (FAT-C9) has been shown using 18-Crown and ZnCl2 catalytic system. The effect of catalyst amount, temperature and process time on the reaction rate has been studied. New peroxy oligomer containing fluorine atoms (FPO) has been synthesized and characterized. The FPO structure has been confirmed by IR-spectroscopy. It has been proposed to use FPO as an active additive to the poly… Show more

“…Moreover, the production of paraffin, high-paraffin and high-viscosity heavy crude oils is increasing. The processing of such oils does not always allow to obtain high-quality petroleum bitumen and, therefore, the modification of bitumen is necessary [7].…”

“…Modification of epoxy oligomers improves their properties and expands the areas of their practical application. Alcohols [5,7], phenols [5,8], acids [5,9,10], acid anhydrides [11] and others [12,13]) are among low-molecular compounds for epoxy oligomers modification.…”
