“…Genetic polymorphism of CYP plays an important role in therapeutic effect of drug treatment. 22,23 It signifies that the therapeutic drug monitoring in patients with multiple drug treatment and in vitro techniques can predict the role of CYP enzymes polymorphism, and decrease the occurrence of DDIs. 21 Majority of the interactions involving elimination or excretion process occur due to change in urinary pH, changes in active renal tubule excretion and different drug transporter protein.…”

“…Blood testing has been performed in order to analyze the main allelic variants of the CYP450 isoforms CYP2E1, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, CYP2D6, CYP2C9, and CYP2C19 genes. According to previous work, they were identified and analyzed through real‐time polymerase chain reaction by TaqMan kits purchased from Applied Biosystems (Monza, Italy) 27‐29…”

“…Both ibuprofen and paracetamol show higher efficacy at higher doses in acute pain (McQuay and Moore, 2007) and probably also in chronic pain, at least for ibuprofen (Gallelli et al, 2012). Typical single oral doses of ibuprofen are between 200 and 400 mg, and for paracetamol between 500 and 1000 mg. We therefore chose to compare these doses in acute pain and headache.…”
