“…These multiaromatics derive from the C 16+ alkyl-bridged noncondensed alkyl aromatics formed at the clay tower when the olefin-containing C 8+ stream was alkylated (Figure 1). The presence of such compounds restricts the amount that may be blended into a gasoline pool as a result of the concomitant dark color, high density (0.9125 g/cm 3 ), and high final boiling point (FBP). Directing the stream containing the alkyl-bridged noncondensed alkyl multiaromatics to a gasoline pool does so at the expense of the gasoline quality.…”

“…The quality of the gasoline blending component can be significantly enhanced by fractionating the as-received stream at 180 °C. The resulting lighter fraction (41 wt %) circumvents the color and density issues, since this fraction is clear, possesses a RON value of 107, and has a lowered density of 0.8730 g/cm 3 . This simple process is of immediate value to the refinery with respect to the quality of the gasoline blending components now being significantly improved.…”

“…Zeolites have been widely used in many processes for the transformation of hydrocarbons. These materials are considered the most important heterogeneous catalysts in the petrochemical industry. , Zeolites have a porous structure with well-defined pores and channel systems . These systems offer large void volumes that are able to host a wide variety of molecules while maintaining mechanical stability. , …”
