Caracterização genética de populações naturais de araticunzeiro (Annona crassiflora Mart. - Annonaceae) no Estado de Goiás

Abstract: -(Genetic characterization of natural populations of "araticunzeiro" (Annona crassiflora Mart. -Annonaceae) collected in the State of Goiás, Brazil). The level and distribution of the genetic variability in natural populations of "araticunzeiro" were estimated using a sample of six natural populations, collected in two different regions of the State of Goiás, Brazil. Samples comprising 30 individuals from each population were genetically evaluated for four allozyme loci: 6-Phosphogluconate Dehydrogenase (6PGD)… Show more

“…However, values of dissimilarity of 17.00% were obtained from accessions collected in Montes Claros city from the same orchard. Telles et al (2003) evaluated the genetic diversity of Annona crassiflora Mart and found a smaller genetic distance among individuals of the same location due to high rate of ancestry in common. These authors suggest that a greater genetic variability is necessary and can be achieved by collection of few individuals from a number of different locations rather than a large number of individuals from the same location.…”

“…By presenting appreciable aroma, flavor and digestibility, the pulp of its fruit is consumed fresh or processed for the production of juices, liqueurs, ice cream and jellies (Telles et al, 2003). Besides the organoleptic characteristics, the fruit has a high nutritional value, with significant levels of lipids, fibers, calories, magnesium, phosphorus and antioxidants (Damiani et al, 2011).…”

“…In the last decade, several studies have evaluated the genetic structure in Cerrado plant species (Zucchi et al, 2003;Soares et al, 2008;Moreno et al, 2009;Collevatti et al, 2001Collevatti et al, , 2010Telles et al, 2003Telles et al, , 2010Tarazi et al, 2010;Martins et al, 2006Martins et al, , 2011Moura et al, 2009Moura et al, , 2011Moraes and Sebbenn, 2011). Most of them addressed the genetic diversity and population differentiation, aiming to determine the conservation status of natural populations, which would then make it possible to infer historical events related to anthropogenic disturbance, gene flow between populations and the effect of ecosystem fragmentation.…”
