RESUMO Diversidade genética em pinheira (Annona squamosa L.) por meio de marcadores RAPDA diversidade genética da coleção de 64 acessos de pinheira, coletados em diferentes cidades, no norte do Estado de Minas Gerais, foi avaliada por meio do uso de marcadores RAPD. Foram selecionados 20 primers RAPD que geraram 167 fragmentos, dos quais 48 foram polimórficos (28,7%), produzindo uma média de 2,4 fragmentos polimórficos por primer. Baixa percentagem de polimorfismo foi obtida com o conjunto de primers (< 29%), indicando baixa variação genética entre os 64 acessos avaliados. As distâncias genéticas foram estimadas, utilizando-se o coeficiente de similaridade de Jaccard. Acessos de diferentes cidades foram agrupados em um mesmo grupo, indicando que não há correlação entre os agrupamentos moleculares e origem geográfica. O dendrograma revelou cinco grupos. O primeiro grupo reuniu os acessos C19 e G29, coletados nas cidades de Verdelândia e Monte Azul, respectivamente. O segundo grupo reuniu os acessos G16 e B11, coletados nas cidades de Monte Azul e Coração de Jesus, respectivamente. Os acessos remanescentes foram agrupados em três grupos, com oito, 15 e 37 acessos, respectivamente. O marcador RAPD apresentou baixo nível de polimorfismo entre os acessos avaliados. Using 20 selected RAPD primers 167 fragments were generated, of which 48 were polymorphic (28.7%) producing an average of 2.4 polymorphic fragments per primer. Low percentage of polymorphism (< 29%) was observed by using the set of primers indicating low level of genetic variation among the 64 accessions evaluated. Genetic relationships were estimated using Jaccard's coefficient of similarity. Accessions from different municipalities clustered together indicating no correlation between molecular grouping and geographical origin. The dendrogram revealed five clusters. The first cluster grouped C19 and G29 accessions collected from the municipalities of Verdelândia and Monte Azul, respectively. The second cluster grouped G16 and B11 accessions collected from the municipalities of Monte Azul and Coração de Jesus, respectively. The remaining accessions were grouped in three clusters, with 8, 15 and 37 accessions, respectively. In summary, RAPD showed a low percentage of polymorphism in the germplasm collection.

-Araticum (Annona crassiflora Mart. -Annonaceae) is a species with great ecological importance and potential for fruit production. Its fruits, seeds and seedlings were morphologically described in this article as being the main objective of this study. To describe and illustrate the examples, 100 seeds and 42 fruits were analyzed; the latter being collected in Santo Antônio do Leverger -MT -Brazil, in 2011. To describe the morphology of the seedling, 100 seeds were germinated in two different environments. The araticum plant has a compound, multiple strobiliform, globose-subglobose and fleshy fruit, with average measures of 12.9 cm length, 13.5 cm width, 12.7 cm thickness, weight of 1,187.0 g and 99.2 seeds per fruit. The seeds are obovoid, hairless, smooth with a bony aspect and a pale brown color; they have an average of 17. 7 mm length, 10.8 mm width and 8.3 thickness. Epigeous and phanerocotylar germination begins about 148 days after sowing. All morphological data of araticum fruits, seeds and seedlings can be used to recognize the botanical family and, when associated to other features, to recognize the species in the field.

ABSTRACT. Solanum lycocarpum is a woody tree widely distributed in the Cerrado that reaches high population densities in disturbed environments. We examined the genetic diversity and population differentiation of six S. lycocarpum populations with different degrees of human disturbance in order to determine if they are negatively affected by anthropogenic activity. Three populations located in southern and three located in southeastern regions of Goiás State, Central Brazil, were genotyped with five microsatellite markers. The population located in a protected area had higher number of alleles (26) 2674-2682 (2012) Negative effect of the ecosystem fragmentation 2675 alleles). It indicates that extensive and continuous areas of preserved native vegetation contribute positively to the conservation of genetic diversity, even with S. lycocarpum that easily adapts to disturbed environments. The three southeastern populations, although fragmented, had preserved native vegetation and were not significantly different from each other (θp = 0.002).All other population pairs compared were significantly divergent (θp varied from 0.03 to 0.11 between pairs, P < 0.05). We found three distinct sets of allele frequencies. The three southeastern populations shared similar gene pools, as well as the two disturbed southern populations, which are secondary vegetation. The southern population located in protected area had the most dissimilar gene pool. In conclusion, populations showing a higher degree of human disturbance tends to show a larger population differentiation than expected from the isolation by distance model, which in the current scenario of the Cerrado destruction points out to a threat to the long-term conservation of the species.
