The efficacy of the vermicomposting and products based on the antagonistic fungus and plant growth promoter trichoderma (Trichoderma spp) is well known and studied in organic agriculture. However, for a better methodological efficiency are necessary studies to evaluate the effect of high doses of these bioproducts in the biology and development of earthworms. Thus, the present work aims to test the use of high commercial biocontrol product (ICB Nutrisolo Trichoderma) doses by evaluating the multiplication and development of Eisenia andrei. Changes in the chemical features of the substrate produced by the vermicomposting process using in natura and sterilized organic cattle manure were also assessed. Each experimental unit consisted of 6 kg of substrate (in multipurpose polypropylene box -20x 40 x 50 cm) containing 48 clitelate adult Eisenia andrei earthworms. ICB Nutrisolo Trichoderma was used as biological agent along with eight strains of the following species: T. koningiopsis, T. asperellum and T. harzianum. The following treatments were applied at doses of 10 11 CFU kg -1 of ICB Nutrisolo Trichoderma in the presence of earthworms: T1 (0.5); T2 (1.0); T3 (2.0); T4 (4.0); T5 (8.0) and T6 (0.0). The T7 treatment was herein used in order to evaluate the chemical features of the vermicompost. It was a completely randomized design with four replications per treatment. The temperature was kept at 28°C and humidity ranged between 60 and 70%. After 60 days, the number of young and adult earthworms, and cocoons was counted; then, their dry biomass was assessed. The results found in the lethality test showed decrease in the number of earthworms treated with 4.0x10 11 CFU kg -1 of ICB. The biological product doses up to 1.0x10 11 CFU kg -1 did not alter the number of adult earthworms and cocoons, or the multiplication index of E. andrei in cattle waste vermicomposts. There was no influence of the tested doses on earthworms' individual development. However, doses above 2.0x10 11 CFU kg -1 decreased their total biomass. The C/N ratio for all treatments indicates maturity within acceptable results for organic compounds.

RESUMOO objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito do tempo de agitação no equilíbrio de adsorção em amostra de um Latossolo não tratado e tratado com lodo de esgoto da estação de tratamento (ETE) de Barueri, coletadas na camada 0-0,2 m. A influência do tempo de agitação na adsorção foi avaliada através da adição de 20 mL do eletrólito suporte Ca (NO 3 ) 2 0,01 mol L -1 , em 2 g de terra, agitadas por 1 e 24 horas em triplicata contendo concentrações crescentes de cada metal. Os resultados foram avaliados através do teste de comparação de curvas (Teste F). De maneira geral, as amostras agitadas por 24 horas adsorveram mais metais que as amostras agitadas por 1 hora. Pelos resultados, permite-se concluir que para as amostras de solo estudadas o tempo de agitação de 24 horas é o mais adequado para a obtenção da adsorção real dos metais estudados.Palavras-chave: sorção, tempo de equilíbrio, metais pesados. ABSTRACT INFLUENCE OF EQUILIBRIUM TIME IN Cd, Cu, Ni e Zn ADSORPTION ON SLUDGE-AMENDED SOIL SAMPLESThe objective of the present paper is to evaluate the influence of equilibrium time in metal adsorption on sludge-amended soil samples (0-0,2 m) collected in a sewage sludge trial. Soil samples (2.00 g) were shaked during 1 and 24 h with 20 mL of Ca(NO 3 ) 2 0,01 mol L -1 solution containing increasing concentrations of Cd, Cu, Ni and Zn. Adsorption isotherms for 1 and 24 h were compared using the F test. In general greater amounts of metals were adsorbed when a 24h-shaking time was used except for cadmium in sludge-amended sample. It is recommended a 24-h shaking period for equilibrium.

A B S T R A C TCrambe is a plant with high potential for biodiesel production. However, its use for animal nutrition poses toxicity. The aim of this study was to propose an alternative treatment for this type of agro-industrial waste. Thus, we used earthworm Eisenia foetida for the stabilization of crambe residue. Twenty vermireactors were constructed, receiving crambe waste and cattle manure in the dose according to the determination of total solids. Treatments were called 100% of cattle manure; 10% waste crambe + 90% cattle manure; 20% waste crambe + 80% cattle manure; 30% waste crambe + 70% cattle manure; 40% waste crambe + 60% cattle manure. Mixtures remained for 40 days in vermireactors. The statistical design was completely randomized, with five treatments and four replications. The vermicompost obtained was used to produce arugula seedlings. At the end of the proposed period, it was observed that the worms survived in all crambe residue concentrations. Furthermore, it was found that even with the highest dose, crambe residue was not harmful worms. In the production of arugula seedlings, it was found that there was adequate development of plants.Keywords: Agro-industrial waste, Crambe abyssinica Hochst, Eisenia foetida. R E S U M OO crambe é uma planta com alto potencial de produção biodiesel. Entretanto, o uso para alimentação animal apresenta toxicidade. O objetivo do presente estudo foi propor uma alternativa de tratamento para este tipo de resíduos agro-industrial. Desta forma, utilizou-se a minhoca Eisenia foetida para a estabilização do resíduo de crambe. Foram construidos 20 vermireatores, que receberam resíduos de crambe e esterco bovino nas dose de acordo com a determinação de sólidos totais. Os tratamentos foram chamados 100% de esterco bovino; 10% resíduo de crambe + 90% esterco bovino; 20% resíduo de crambe + 80% esterco bovino; 30% resíduo de crambe + 70% esterco bovino; resíduo de crambe 40% + 60% esterco bovino. As misturas permaneceram durante 40 dias nos vermireatores. O delineamento estatítico foi inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamento e quatro repetições. Os vermicompostos obtidos foram utilizados na produção de mudas de rúculas. No final do período proposto, observou-se que as minhocas sobreviveram em todas as concentrações de resíduos de crambe. Além disso, verificou-se que mesmo com as doses mais elevadas do resíduo de crambe, não foi prejudicial as minhocas. Na produção de mudas de rúcula, verificou-se que houve um desenvolvimento adequado das plantas. Palavras-chave:Crambe abyssinica Hochst, Eisenia foetida, resíduos agroindustriais.
