Physical and chemical methods of synthesizing metal nanoparticles are expensive, have negative impacts, and are hazardous. Simpicilliumlanosoniveum, an endophytic fungus found in the seaweed Sargassumwightii, was used in an attempt to synthesize silver nanoparticles (brown seaweed). Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy, Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy, X-ray Diffraction Spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, and Dynamic Light Scattering were used to characterize silver nanoparticles. Antioxidant, antimicrobial, Chick chorioallantoic membrane, and cytotoxic experiments were performed on the nanoparticles. The spherical nanoparticles had an average particle size of 20–25 nm, as determined by field-emission scanning electron microscopy. The nanoparticles' size and crystalline composition was also confirmedby X-ray Diffraction Spectroscopy.The nanoparticles demonstrated potent antioxidant, antibacterial, antiangiogenic, and cytotoxic activity. Hence, we believe that the green silver nanoparticles might be usefulin managing microbial infections and cancers.
