Calculation of Energy Loss Characteristics of Accelerated Ions Passing through Thin Targets

Abstract: The possibility is discussed of checking the formula for the impact parameter dependence of energy losses in an inelastic collision, comparing calculated and experimental mean energy losses and straggling of ions passing a thin foil.
