Building Facade Documentation Using Laser Scanning and Photogrammetry and Data Implementation Into Bim

Abstract: ABSTRACT:A project started last year called MORE-CONNECT, which focuses on the renovation of buildings (especially building facades) using prefabricated elements. The aim of this project is to create a competitive solution consisting of a technology and processes which enable fast, cost-effective renovation with minimal difficulties to inhabitants. Significant cost savings in renovation costs lies in the usage of prefabricated elements and the reduction of construction works on site. The precision of the prefa… Show more

“…This project offers an overview of the possible methods for building documentation and spatial data transfer into BIM (Building Information Modelling) software. The description of methods focuses on laser scanning and photogrammetry (including RPAS based), its advantages, disadvantages and limitations according to the documented building, level of renovation, and situation on site [30].…”

“…Currently, the use of the intensity value in diagnostic measurements is of special interest. It should also be noted that, apart from diagnostic measurements intensity data can also be used to identify various elements in point clouds, e.g., in 3D façades modelling [33] or cultural heritage documentations [34,35].…”

“…Special Task UAVs (combat/decoys systems) (Nex and Remondino, 2014) The dissertation of Eisenbeiss provides an alternate way in which UAVs can be classified, which is by being considered as unpowered or powered, as well as lighter than air or heavier than air (Eisenbeiß, 2009 (Eisenbeiß, 2009) From the literature explored throughout this review, in relation to variables such as low cost and usability, the most common platform used for aerial photogrammetry are rotary wing aircraft. Specifically, multi-rotors, which include quadcopters, hexacopters, and octocopters, were seen in the articles read (Aicardi et al, 2016;Bolognesi et al, 2015;Bolognesi et al, 2014;Faltýnová et al, 2016;Fiorillo et al, 2013;Hashim et al, 2012;Stek, 2016;Sun and Cao, 2015).…”
