BackgroundSatisfaction is the one of the most frequently reported outcome measures for quality of care. Assessment of satisfaction with maternity services is crucial, and psychometrically sound measures are needed if this is to inform health practices. This paper comparatively reviews current measures of satisfaction with care during labour and birth.MethodsA review of the literature was conducted. Studies were located through computerised databases and hand searching references of identified articles and reviews. Inclusion criteria were that the questionnaire was a multi-item scale of satisfaction with care during labour and birth, and some form of psychometric information (either information about questionnaire construction, or reliability, or validity) had to be reported.ResultsNine questionnaires of satisfaction with care during labour and birth were identified. Instruments varied in psychometric properties and dimensions. Most described questionnaire construction and tested some form of reliability and validity. Measures were generally not based on the main theoretical models of satisfaction and varied in scope and application to different types of samples (e.g. satisfaction following caesarean section). For an in-depth measure of satisfaction with intrapartum care, the Intrapartal-Specific Quality from the Patient’s Perspective questionnaire (QPP-I) is recommended. Brief measures with good reliability and validity are provided by the Six Simple Questions (SSQ) or Perceptions of Care Adjective Checklist (PCACL-R).ConclusionsDespite the interest in measures of satisfaction there are only a small number of validated measures of satisfaction with care during labour and birth. It is important that brief, reliable and valid measures are available for use in general and specific populations in order to assist research and inform practice.

Nº 47 Julio 2017Página 71 ORIGINALES Formas de violencia obstétrica experimentada por madres que tuvieron un parto normal RESUMENObjetivo: Identificar las formas de violencia obstétrica experimentadas por las madres que tuvieron un parto normal. Método: Estudio descriptivo, con un enfoque cualitativo, desarrollado con 35 puérperas, en dos maternidades públicas municipales existentes en la ciudad de Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brasil, que tuvieron parto vaginal, con niño vivo, y en condiciones físicas y emocionales para responder a las preguntas propuestas. Fueron excluidas las adolescentes sin tutor legal y las puérperas que dieron a luz fuera del hospital. Resultados: Los informes de las madres representan las formas de violencia obstétrica de las que eran víctimas, que se caracteriza por las palabras y actitudes de los profesionales de la salud que las asistieron. Conclusiones: En el marco del nuevo modelo de asistencia al parto y al nacimiento, la violencia obstétrica no debería tener espacio y profesionales de la salud deben actuar para garantizar un servicio decente, con una calidad y un trato respetuoso. Ö ÖZ ZE ET T A Am ma aç ç: : Doğum eyleminin kadın açısından olumlu olması ebenin ilgisi, ortamın temizliği ve konforu, kibar ve saygılı hizmet, mahremiyete saygı gösterilmesine bağlıdır. Bu araştırma, annelerin doğum eyleminde algıladıkları mahremiyeti değerlendirmek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. G Ge er re eç ç v ve e Y Yö ön n--t te em ml le er r: : Araştırmanın evrenini, Erzurum Nenehatun Kadın Doğum Hastanesi Doğum Salonu'na 2 Ocak 2015-15 Mayıs 2015 tarihleri arasında başvuran anneler oluşturmuştur. Araştırma için evrendeki eleman sayısının bilindiği durumlardaki örneklem seçme formülü kullanılarak 226 anne hesaplanmış, belirtilen tarihler arasında 230 anne ile araştırma tamamlanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, literatür bilgileri ve daha önce yapılan benzer çalışmalara dayanılarak hazırlanan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 20.0 paket programında yüzdelik dağılımlar ile değerlendirilmiştir. B Bu ul lg gu ul la ar r: : Annelerin %37,4'ünün doğum deneyimini iyi olarak algıladığı saptanmıştır. Anneler doğum salonunda %94,3 korku, %67,0 ağrı şeklinde olumsuz duygular yaşadıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Annelerin doğum salonunda sağlık çalışanlarından beklentileri incelendiğinde; %72,2'si güler yüzlü, %63,9'u ilgili, %51,7'si bilgili, %73,5'i anlayışlı olmalarını istediklerini belirtmişlerdir. Annelerin %63,9'u muayene edilirken ve doğum sırasında üzerinde örtü olduğu için rahatsızlık hissetmediğini, %48,7'si tekrar vajinal doğum yapmak istediğini, %54,3'ü çok memnun kaldıklarını belirtmiştir. Annelerin %53,5'i doğum sırasında uygulamalar öncesinde açıklama yapılmadığını, %51,7'si orta düzeyde önemsendiğini belirtmiştir.
