Although many studies have examined the relationship between bullying victims and aggressive behavior from the perspective of perpetrators of aggressive behavior, very few studies have focused on the demographic dimensions and victims of bullying in influencing aggressive behavior in junior high school students. This study analyzes the effect of age, gender, and victims of bullying in terms of physical, verbal and cyberbullying on aggressive behavior in junior high school students in Malang City. This study used a cross-sectional study with 314 junior high school students in Malang City, Indonesia. The data collection technique used an online questionnaire adapted from the Olweus Bullying Questionnaire (OBQ) to measure victims of bullying and the Brife Aggression Questionnaire (BAQ) to measure aggressive behavior. The results of the study found that age affects aggressive behavior. As they get older, the aggressive behavior of children begins to decrease and girls are more at risk of having aggressive behavior than boys. In addition, there is a significant influence between victims of physical and verbal bullying on aggressive behavior. The higher the victim of physical and verbal bullying, the higher the aggressive behavior carried out by the victim. However, the unexpected findings of cyberbullying victims had no effect on aggressive behavior. The higher the number of victims of cyberbullying, it has no effect on adolescent aggressive behavior. Other factors need to be anticipated and counselors need to provide full socialization for perpetrators and bully-victims to improve their behavior so that there are no other victims of bullying. Is symbolic modeling videos containing Malay values effective to improve student’s social harmony?

Social harmony stimulations should be given as early as possible since it correlates with a number of conducts, such as respecting cultural differences, tolerance, and willingness to constructively resolve a conflict. As social harmony affects students' characters, an intervention to enhance their social harmony is required. This study aims to investigate the efficiency of symbolic video modeling consisting of Malay values in improving students' social harmony. It used a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest model. This study involved 101 randomly selected respondents and used 45 items social harmony scale to obtain the data. The data analysis was carried out using a dependent sample t-test. The results suggest that the symbolic modeling video of Malay values is effective in enhancing the social harmony of the Junior High School students. Further, the 13 years old female students are observed to have higher social harmony than their 12 and 14 years old counterparts. The findings of this study can be used as a reference in resolving students' issues, primarily the issues related to social harmony. This study has beneficial for counselor especially in improving students' social harmony with the Malay values.

Cognitive fusion on counselor performance : A comparative study of the experienced and novice counselor

The counselor's internal competence has an impact on the counselor's self-management, primarily the cognitive domain. Failure to manage thoughts will cause cognitive distortions, even to identify biases in mental experiences. This condition is cognitive fusion. Cognitive fusion causes the counselor to be trapped in his mind, unable to discern the effects of his mind's external assumptions on conditions. The experienced counselor can predict the counselor's cognitive fusion condition. This study aims to identify and describe the cognitive fusion condition data for counselors. The research method uses a comparative study design through the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire instrument. Respondents in this study totaled 170 divided into two groups, experienced counselors and novice counselors. The moderate form of counselors' cognitive fusion condition was found as the research results. In particular, some counselors have high cognitive fusion conditions. The counselor's experience in counseling, evaluation, supervision, and action research makes them train their minds to think at a high level. Thus, the counselor has many historical events as their reflection and internalization in their mind. Based on the research results, Mind-skills training could be given as one of recommendation to improve the metacognitive skills of novice counselors so that they can match the performance of experienced counselors.
