Driven by "One Belt and One Road" national policy, cooperation among various fields is constantly increasing in china. At meanwhile, the demand for translators in various industries is also expanding rapidly. The paper puts forward the "Translation Workshop" mode to renew the translation teaching method. To explore the two hypotheses, the author conducted a 16-week teaching experiment with 89 students in Business English major. In the experiment, the data collected are analyzed by SPSS25.0, using the methods of pre-test and post-test, questionnaire and interview. The results show that the teaching mode of translation workshop has obvious effect on translation competence. It is coherent with the teaching purpose and characteristics of higher vocational education.
