In the face of diverse quantification methods for building carbon emissions, this article delves into the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach to comprehensively measure the carbon emissions of prefabricated buildings throughout their lifespan. It meticulously identifies the carbon emission sources in prefabricated buildings and analyzes the measurement models relevant to their emissions in both physical and chemical stages. Prefabricated buildings hold profound implications for transforming the construction industry and advancing its sustainable development path. Examining the energy-saving characteristics and emission reduction potential of prefabricated buildings from a life-cycle perspective, this article analyzes the carbon emission measurement model during the prefabricated building transformation stage. This comprehensive analysis of the building atomization path and influential carbon emission factors lays a theoretical foundation for transitioning prefabricated buildings towards energy-saving and emission reduction strategies. Using the LCA method, carbon emissions were calculated, revealing a positive correlation with building size. Notably, through the prefabricated construction method detailed in this article, carbon emissions were significantly reduced by 30% compared to traditional construction methods.

Demographic, economic and cultural changes increase energy consumption in the housing sector and cause even higher levels of the related greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of this work is to identify opportunities for developing renewable energy sources (RES) in the housing sector to improve its energy efficiency. The results of the study show that the construction industry, and especially the housing sector, can save more energy as compared to other types of the energy use. RES are important in reducing CO 2 emissions in the housing sector and in improving the energy efficiency of buildings. In recent years, the production and consumption of energy from renewable sources in the housing sector have increased. However, the main volume of energy consumption in buildings is provided by fossil fuels. The main barriers to the introduction of renewable energy in the DNC housing system are financial ones, as well as logistical problems of biomass transportation and storage. To reduce these barriers, the authors offer a number of measures, including the governmental support for the use of renewable energy in the systems of heat supply and cooling of buildings, as well as the creation of storage facilities for renewable energy. The system of encouraging the use of RES applied in Denmark, which is the world leader according to the use of renewable energy in the housing construction, is considered as an example.

Öz: Günümüzde modern toplumların elektrik enerjisi ihtiyacını karşılamak için kullanılan fosil türevli yakıtlardan hızla doğa dostu olan yenilebilir enerji kaynaklarına geçilmektedir. Fosil türevli yakıtların kullanılması sonucunda biriken sera gazları nedeniyle küresel iklim değişikliği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunu yanında hava kalitesi de bozulmaya başlamıştır. Güneş enerjisi ekonomik ve teknik uygulanabilirlik açısından en yaygın olarak tercih edilen yenilebilir enerji kaynağı olarak günümüzde kabul görmektedir. Yapılan bu çalışmada Niğde ili için güneş enerjisinin elektrik enerji üretimli potansiyeli, ekonomik ve çevresel olarak uygulanabilirlik açısından incelenmiştir. İldeki mevcut arazi kullanım haritaları, tarım arazileri ve güneş radyasyon potansiyeli haritaları bir arada değerlendirilmiştir. İldeki tarım arazisi ve orman vasfını yitirmiş alanın sadece %3,4 güneş enerjisi üretimi için kullanıldığında gerekli olan elektrik enerjisi ihtiyacı karşılanabileceği hesaplanmıştır. Bu enerji yılda 435924 ton CO2 emisyonun atmosfere verilmeyeceği anlamına gelmektedir.Abstract: Today, fossil-derived fuels are used to meet the electricity needs of modern societies, and quickly switch to environmentally friendly renewable energy sources. As a result of the use of fossil-derived fuels, global climate change has increase due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases. Besides this, the air quality has started to deteriorate. Solar energy is now accepted as the most widely used renewable energy source in terms of economic and technical viability. In this study, solar energy potential for Niğde city province was examined in terms of potential, economic and environmental viability of electrical energy production. Current available land use maps, agricultural landmarks and solar radiation potential maps have been evaluated together. It is calculated that the required electricity energy requirement can be met when the current nonagricultural land and the non-forest land are used for only 3.4% solar energy production. This means that 435924 tons of CO2 emissions per year will not be given to the atmosphere.
