Authenticity in branding – exploring antecedents and consequences of brand authenticity

Abstract: Purpose Consumer demand for authentic brands is steadily rising. With increased pressure to accommodate this demand, researchers and marketers seek to understand how to influence a brand’s perceived authenticity.
