“…As more and more research articles accumulate, bibliometrics or scientometrics can help understand the trends and content of SDG-related research papers and identify the gaps. Some studies were carried out with a general scope of the SDGs without focusing on specific themes [12,[50][51][52], while more were conducted with respect to a variety of topics, e.g., general management [53], supply chain [54], entrepreneurship [55], health and well-being [56,57], suicide mortality rate [58], SARS and COVID-19 [59], biofuel [60], agri-food [61], education [62][63][64], and peace-sustainability nexus [65], to name a few. As some systemic studies aiming at examining the progress and applicability of the SDGs were carried out in relatively early years, an updated analysis offering the trends and context of SDG-related articles with more accumulated information would be valuable.…”

“…Transactions and economics theory have highlighted the need for changes to the decision-making process during production cycle stages to achieve sustainability goals. In addition, stakeholder and agency theories enable the achievement of SDGs, since both the collaboration and the alignment of interests in fulfilling the 2030 Agenda are required (Agrawal et al 2022 ).…”

“…The traditional operating model of a company can be transformed from the insertion of innovation, which changes the primary functions and gives it a degree of novelty (Casadesus‐Masanell & Zhu, 2013). Given the constant evolution of technology and access to information, experimenting with business model innovation is necessary to meet the demands of consumers and supply chain partners for more agile solutions aligned with circular business model principles (Agrawal et al, 2022; Bouwman et al, 2019). Thus, H2 is proposed.H2 Innovation positively influences circular business models.Companies are expected to innovate in their business models to enable reinforcement in the creation of products, services, and processes (Müller, 2019).…”
