Association of Adiponectin Gene Polymorphism (+T45G) With Acute Coronary Syndrome and Circulating Adiponectin Levels

Abstract: We investigated the association of adiponectin gene polymorphisms (+T45G and +G276T) and adiponectin levels with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) among Arabs in Qatar. A case-control study was performed in 142 Arab patients with ACS and 122 controls. Genotypes were determined using TaqMan real-time polymerase chain reaction assay.
