Applying quality function deployment to social housing?

Abstract: Process Management System (PMS). Such a system is often based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act philosophy (Deming, 1982) and typically consists of processes, sub-processes and procedures linked together. Performance measurement and preventive mechanisms must also be an integral part of the system. However, a question that often arises when coming to design an effective PMS is ‗what are the standards according to which one has to design and manage a Process Management System?' Eliciting, understanding and utilising the… Show more

“…Similar to the benefits of QFD in other applications (Camgöz-Akdag et al , 2016), some of the advantages in the current study include lower costs of analysis and decision-making, avoiding failure in deploying eco-innovation determinants/sub-determinants, earlier changes in decision-making, reduced process time of eco-innovation development, fewer problems in implementing eco-innovation problems and better company performance in eco-innovation. The main advantage of QFD is its structural deployment (Kassela et al , 2017). Therefore, a reason for using QFD is that it models the interdependencies among eco-innovation determinants and sub-determinants.…”

“…Using the 'House of Quality' (HOQ) approach, QFD uses a quantification mechanism to define the 'WHATs' and 'HOWs' of a value proposition through harnessing the VOC (Kassela et al, 2017, Zhang andChu, 2009). The benefits of QFD are documented at between process and organisational levels (Kassela et al, 2017, Zare Mehrjerdi, 2011. Vinodh and Chintha (2011) cite opportunities in value generation by a QFD approach through reduced reworks.…”
