The goal of this research was to explore the potential of Rhinachantus nasutus (L.) Kurz (RnLK) flower extract as an antioxidant utilizing the ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) method; the possibility that it might be used as a treatment for gout by employing the 2,4,6-tribromo-3-hydroxybenzoic acid (TBHBA) technique, as well as the possibility that it could be used as an antibacterial agent against E. coli and B. subtilis. Results: The IC 50 value for the extract's ability to serve as an antioxidant is 8.62±0.006 mg/L, indicating that it is quite effective. In addition, the extract of ethanol possesses highly potent anti-gout properties, being capable of bringing about a 81.95±0.1% reduction in uric acid levels. In spite of this, the antibacterial properties of E. coli as well as B. subtilis bacteria were not particularly robust. Conclusion:The RnLK flower has the potential to produce alternative chemicals with the ability to reduce blood uric acid levels, but according to the results of the test, the antibacterial activity has little impact on E. coli and B. subtilis.

Anti-inflammatory tests were carried out using the protein denaturation inhibition method with bovine serum albumin (BSA). This method refers to the modified Williams procedure. 16 A sample extract solution of 1,000 mg/L was pipetted to 80 µL, 120 µL, and 160 µL, then each was put into a 5 mL volumetric flask, calibrated with a 0.2% BSA solution in tris buffered saline (TBS). The solution was heated for 5 minutes in a water bath at 72 °C after 30 minutes of incubation at 25 °C.

Antioxidant content in limau peel (Citrus amblycarpa) is well recognized to be high. Free radicals can be neutralized by antioxidants, which can then be employed as natural active components in pharmaceuticals. One of them is an alternative xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor in lowering uric acid levels. Limau peel was extracted using the Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction method with ultrasonic waves showed optimum condition at amplitude of 45 in 50 minute and amplitude of 60 in 50 minute. The yield obtained was 9.07%. These results are obtained quickly without the use of solvents and excess energy. The results of phytochemical screening showed the presence of several secondary metabolites in limau peel extract, including Tannins, Phenolics, Glycoside Steroids, Flavonoids, and a small amount of Saponins. This study tested antioxidant activity using 3 different methods: the DPPH, CUPRAC, and FRAP methods. The antioxidant test results are shown in IC50 values with optimal gains of 33.40±0.01mg/L for DPPH, respectively; 21.38±0.04mg/L for CUPRAC; and 15.31±0.02mg/L for FRAP. Meanwhile, in testing the potential as a xanthine oxidase inhibitor, it was found that limau peel extract could reduce uric acid levels in vitro by 71.63±0.94%.
