Background:The cellulase enzyme is one of the most industrially important enzymes. Its cost represents a significant barrier to other valuable commercial products. Reducing the cost of cellulase production is an important approach. Objectives: For this purpose, this work investigated the production of cellulase enzyme using olive oil production waste (olive mill wastewater (OMW). Materials and methods: The ability of Trichoderma viride to utilize OMW as a substrate for cellulase production was studied. Optimization of cellulase production was investigated to find out the optimum OMW concentration, agitation speed, aeration rate, and cellulose addition. Results:The results showed that 75% v/v OMW submerged shake flask culture was the most suitable culture for T. viride growth and cellulase enzyme production (0.82 U/ml endoglucanase activity and 0.25 U/ml exoglucanase activity). When this culture was supplemented with cellulose, the activity of endoglucanase and exoglucanase was significantly improved (10.24 U/ml and 2.17 U/ml respectively).The agitation speed of 200 rpm enhanced the production to reach 9.1 U/ml of endoglucanase and 6.38 U/ml of exoglucanase. The effect of the aeration rate on enzyme production was studied under batch cultivation. The highest cellulase activity was at 2.0 vvm, where the endoglucanase and exoglucanase activities were 55.96 U/ml and 32.62 U/ml respectively. Conclusions: Therefore, it is claimed that OMW is a suitable medium for cellulase enzyme production after optimization of the process.

The study included (90) samples, including (60) samples infected with hyperthyroidism and (30) samples representing the healthy control group. The samples were collected during the period from November 10, 2021, until February 10, 2022, within the laboratories of the city of Samarra. The study included observing the phenotypic symptoms of hyperthyroidism.The results showed that 85% of all patients with hyperthyroidism suffered from bulging eyes, 92% of all patients suffered from increased appetite and weight loss, and 95% of the sample of patients suffered from high temperature in the extremities and high sensitivity to temperature.The study also included identifying the E12 polymorphism of the TG gene, which is responsible for encoding the production of thyroid hormones. Genetic profiling of the E12 polymorphism was conducted. It was observed that there was a difference in the allelic frequency between the affected group and the control group, in addition to a higher incidence of phenotypic symptoms in people carrying the homozygous mutant genotype. GG and the impact of some of their biochemical characteristics, as the results of the study showed the significant impact of hyperthyroidism on the level of blood lipids (CHO, triglycerides (TRI), high-density lipoproteins (HDL-C), low-density lipoproteins (LDL-C), and very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL)) It was observed that there was a decrease in all lipid variables in people with hyperthyroidism, as the arithmetic mean for them was (142.98-107.42-23.28-98.21-21.48), respectively. A Cross-Sectional study that includes an assessment of the relation of the physiological and immunological factors among postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and heart diseases who attended Samarra General Hospital in Salah AL-Din Governorate .The study started from January 2022 to November 2022 on a study population whose ages ranged from 45-70 years, their total number is 100 women, 25 of whom are healthy who are considered as a control group, and 75 of them are represented by groups of patients that were distributed into three main groups: 25 women with heart disease only include myocardial infarction and 25 women with osteoporosis only and 25 women with heart disease and osteoporosis .Blood samples were collected from patients and healthy subjects and then serum separated for testing. The present study was designed to obtain more clarification of some hormonal changes in women patients with osteoporosis and heart diseases. It find out the role of some hormonal parameters Calcitonin(CT), Parathyroid (PTH), and Estrogen ( E2) in the serum of women patients with osteoporosis and heart diseases. The result of hormonal parameters include: Calcitonin, Estrogen showed significantly decreased (P≤0.05) in groups of osteoporosis, Heart disease, and osteoporosis with heart disease in comparison with control group. Parathyroid showed a significant increase (P≤0.05) in groups of osteoporosis, heart disease, and osteoporosis with heart disease in comparison with the control group.To investigate the physiological relationship between hormonal parameters, calcitonin and estrogen and parathyroid in patients of osteoporosis and heart diseases in Samarra city.Serum calcitonin and estrogen showed significant decreases (P≤0.05) in groups of osteoporosis, heart disease, and osteoporosis with heart disease in comparison with the control group but Parathyroid showed a significant increase (P≤0.05) in groups of osteoporosis, heart disease, and osteoporosis with heart disease in comparison with control group.
