“…Bergenia ligulata is a widely used plant in South Asia, mainly India and Pakistan, as a traditional medicine for treatment of urolithiasis. The crude aqueous-methanolic extract of Bergenia ligulata rhizome was studied using in vitro and in vivo methods and the extract showed the antiurolithic activity through CaOx crystal inhibition, diuretic, hypermagneseuric and antioxidant effects (26). Also in our laboratory, antilithiatic potency of Dolichos biflorus (27) and Trachyspermum ammi (28) has been evaluated in vitro and in vivo.…”
