Abstract: Tylopilan (1) is a branched, tetrameric /-D-glucan, Mr = 1.3 x 106, isolated (1) from fruit bodies of Tylopilusfelleus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst. (Boletaceae). The chemical structure of tylopilan was established by Defaye et al. (2).
